Helly Bartolomé Hernández Marin is a medical doctor graduated with honorific mention (cumlaude) from the “Universidad de Oriente”, one of the most prestigious universities in Venezuela, where he worked for 2 years as a professor of physiopathology, medical physiology and neuroanatomy. His line of research is focused on neuroscience, cardiovascular diseases, pain medicine, and general surgery. In 2017 he did his doctoral thesis entitled "Factors associated with the development of surgical site infections" published in the scientific journal of the Universidad de Oriente (Venezuela). In 2018, he completed a master's degree in pain therapy, which has allowed him to exercise an efficient, and individualized treatment for each of his patients with chronic and / or acute pain.
